Spoon Show

Cutlery becomes comedy when a clumsy clown dedicates themselves to the task of creating as much comedy as possible with nothing but pockets packed to the brim full of spoons. It is unclear where this clown got so many of these metal wonders, or for what purpose. But upon finding themselves in front of an audience, they must utilize a fool's brain, a dancer's body and a determination usually reserved only for the truly idiotic, striving to entertain through any means necessary.

Spoon Show is Daniel Nodder's sophomore solo work. Part clown, part cabaret and part improvised character comedy, this work responds uniquely to its audience, creating a truly unforgettable experience. This charming clown utilizes crowd work, quirky body isolations, juggling tricks, musical numbers, dance sequences and audience interactive character work to entertain, play with and create a joyous hour of action-packed comedy.

Premiering a fresh clown character workshopped at École Philippe Gaulier, Daniel brings all of their absurdist comedy and multi-award-winning movement skills to this new performance. Designed to spur appreciation of the simple and inventive, this work seeks to bring together and connect its audience through laughter, unexpected twists and the humble kitchen spoon.
